IMPORTANT MESSAGE – PLEASE READ

With the upgrade to Release 5.5 users will be prompted to install an Active-X control file (IRCSharc.cab). Members who encounter problems downloading the revised Active-X control can continue to access the MLS system; however, print output will be misaligned until the file is successfully installed.

The following is intended to help address difficulties that a user might experience during ActiveX auto-download process:

Users who access the PC following the upgrade MUST HAVE ADMINISTRATIVE RIGHTS on the PC in order to download the revised Active-X control files.
Even as a user with Administrator rights, it may be necessary to run Internet Explorer as administrator (Start>All Programs>[Right Click on]Internet Explorer Icon>Run as administrator
Please note that Windows XP with Service Pack 2 (SP2) is no longer supported by Microsoft, and MLXchange. Windows XP users must upgrade to the latest Windows XP-Service Pack 3 to be successful with the Active-X download.
The ActiveX install process includes Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable Package and MSXML 6. Occasionally the Visual C++ component will not install and therefore may prevent the ActiveX control from installing. Two solutions are available to resolve this:

Solution 1: Temporarily disable the Enable Memory Protect option in Internet Explorer (IE). To disable this option in Internet Explorer, go to Tools >Internet Options > Advanced, and then deselect “Enable memory protection to help mitigate online attacks.” The user can then login to MLXchange and the Active-X control should install. The user can then re-enable the memory protection after installing the Active-X control.

Solution 2: Go to Microsoft and manually install the Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable Package (x86) <http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=5582>
and MSXML6.msi <http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=3988>

Occasionally, the IRCSharc.cab Active-X controls do not install on the first try. After making sure they have administrative rights to their PC, try the following:

Run Internet Explorer as admin (Start>All Programs>[Right Click on]Internet Explorer Icon>Run as Admin
Uninstall the Active-X controls using the AXTOOL located at www.mlxhelp.com/dl/axtool.zip then unzip the file and run the axtool.zip file as admin (right-click on it and select Run as Admin)
After this file has been run and the Active-X files have been uninstalled, reinstall them from the AX page URL will be rmlsfl.mlxchange.com/ax/.
User Account Control (UAC) should be turned off and the computer rebooted on systems that use UAC (Vista, Win 7). After the installation, UAC can be reactivated.
In addition, in extreme cases for XP users, it may be necessary to register the XML.dll files. Do this as follows-

Go to Start>Run
Type “regsvr32 msxml.dll” (with no quotes)
Press Enter
(It should return a Success message)
Go to Start>Run
Type “regsvr32 msxml3.dll” (with no quotes)
Press Enter (It should return a Success message)
Go to Start>Run
Type “regsvr32 msxml6.dll” (with no quotes)
Press Enter (It should return a Success message)

**Users that have Windows XP must be at Service Pack 3 including all security updates Installed prior to performing the Active-X control installation.

New Release Shackle Reason

The eKEY apps for Android, iPhone and BlackBerry were recently modified to prompt for a reason when releasing the shackle on an iBox or iBox BT. This feature makes it easier to assign an MLS number or address to keyboxes, making showing emails and activity more informative. For example, showing emails and showing activity would include the MLS number or address instead of just the keybox number, making it much easier to tell at a glance what property was shown.

When you release the shackle on a keybox using your eKEY software, you will be prompted to select from the following reasons:

Placing a keybox on a listing. Select this option when a keybox is placed on a new listing. You will be prompted to enter an MLS number or an address. If an MLS number is entered, that number will be assigned to the keybox. If an address or partial address is entered, the Supra system will attempt to pair the address with new listings you recently entered into the MLS. If a match is made, you will receive an email indicating that the keybox assignment has been made. If 2 to 5 potential matches are found, you will receive an email showing the suggested matches. You can chose the correct match and the keybox assignment will be made. If more than 5 potential matches are found, no suggestions will be provided, and no keybox assignment will be made.
Removing a keybox from a listing. Select this option if the keybox is removed from the home. This selection presumes the listing is no longer active and unassigns the box so it is ready to place on a new listing.
Relocating a keybox on the same listing. Select this option if the keybox is moved from one place to another on the same listing. No action will be taken on the keybox assignment.
None of the above.

Select this option if the shackle is released for testing or some other reason. No change in keybox assignment is made.

Supra Lockbox eKey Enhancement

The Supra system has a new feature that you can activate for your eKEY members. This feature makes it easier for eKEY users to assign an MLS number or address to their keyboxes. Please note that this feature is not yet turned on for your organization.

The eKEY apps for Android, iPhone and BlackBerry were recently modified so that when an agent releases the shackle on a keybox with their eKEY software, they are prompted to select a reason for releasing the shackle:

Placing a keybox on a listing. Agents select this option when a box is placed on a new listing. The agent will be prompted to enter an MLS number or an address. If an MLS number is entered, that number will be assigned to the keybox (this particular functionality already existed in eKEY and remains unchanged). If an address or partial address is entered, the Supra system will look at new MLS listings entered by the same agent and attempt to find the correct MLS number. If a match is made, the agent will receive an email telling them that the assignment has been made. If 2 to 5 potential matches are found, the agent will receive an email showing the suggested matches. They can chose the correct match and the assignment will be made. If more than 5 potential matches are found, no suggestions will be provided, and no assignment will be made.
Removing a keybox from a listing. The agent selects this choice if the box is removed from the home. This selection presumes the listing is no longer active and unassigns the box so it is ready to place on a new listing.
Relocating a keybox on the same listing. This selection is used if the box is moved from one place to another on the same listing. No action will be taken on the box’s assignment when this choice is selected.
None of the above. This option is selected if the shackle is released for testing or some other reason. When this choice is selected, no change in assignment is made.

Valuable data is created when agents enter a reason for releasing a shackle. With this additional data it is easier for agents to see which properties have been shown. For example, showing emails would include the MLS number or address instead of just the keybox number making it much easier to tell at a glance what property was shown.

Your organization and your members can take advantage of valuable listing data by activating this feature. This is an optional service since some organizations prefer to manage their own keybox assignments.

Tokens For Palm Beach Flexmls

If you are a subscriber to the Palm Beach Board of Realtors as well as RMLS, your token will still work for the Palm Beach Flexmls system. If your token is lost, broken or stolen, you will need to contact the Palm Beach Board of Realtors for a replacement.

As of Tuesday 7 am March 13th Regional MLS subscribers will no longer need to use their safe tokens to login to MLXChange and Wyldfyre.

You will need to set up a new secure password when you first attempt to log into the MLXChange system.

Tokens can be discarded on Tuesday March 13th. They do not have to be returned to RMLS.

Realist Adobe Hotfix

Is your report not loading within Realist? You may have Adobe Acrobat Reader 10.1.2 installed. There is a known issue with this version causing A PDF viewed in Internet Explorer to appear as a blank page. Realist uses Adobe Acrobat Reader to display reports within the system. The resolution to this is to install the hotfix from Adobe’s website. The hotfix can be accessed by doing the following:

Please note: Only install if you are having an issue

Close Acrobat and/or Reader.
Download the patch. (Click on this link) AdobeAcrobatReaderPatch10.1.2_cpsid_93026.zip. If asked to “open or save” click on open
Extract (unzip) the download to any location.
Double click the extracted EXE to run it.
Restart your computer.
